The Historic Blooming Grove Historical Society welcomes the Dane County Area Genealogical Society to the Nathaniel & Harriet Dean House museum, 4718 Monona Dr. (corner E. Dean Ave. on the Monona Golf Course) on Saturday, April 11th at 10:30 am. The Historical Society collects the history of the original Township of Blooming Grove, most of which is now in the southeast area of Madison or City of Monona. We have information on the families who settled in this area including the original tax and assessment records, plat maps and Blooming Grove cemetery records. Come in the back door and we will gather in the Dining Room. A 35-minute tour of the Dean House will take place after a short talk about the resources the HBGHS has to offer.
The 9-room Victorian-style house museum is open to the public on the 2nd Sunday of the month for tours at 2 & 3p m.
